The Uch Sharif Historical Safari is a guided tour through the ancient city of Uch Sharif in Pakistan’s Punjab province, known for its rich heritage, Sufi shrines, and historic architecture. It allows you to experience the culture, history, and landscapes of this historic town, which dates back over 1,000 years.
The typical safari duration is a full-day tour, lasting around 8-10 hours. However, we also offer half-day tours and customized options for those with time constraints.
You'll visit several significant Sufi shrines, including those of Jalaluddin Surkh-Posh Bukhari, Bibi Jawindi, and Nuriyya, alongside other historical sites. We also offer stops at local markets, traditional handicraft stalls, and scenic spots along the banks of the Sutlej River.
The package includes transportation, an expert guide, entrance fees to sites, a traditional lunch, and refreshments. Optional add-ons like camel rides or local handicraft shopping can be arranged.
We recommend modest and comfortable clothing due to the cultural sensitivity of the shrines and the warm climate. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.
